The Non-Human Experience: What Past Life Regression Reveals About Lives Beyond the Body.
You've heard of past lives as people. But what happens when the memory isn't a Roman soldier, but a wolf, a tree, or an elemental? These "non-human" regressions are some of the most profound and mind-bending journeys into consciousness, challenging everything we think we know about identity.
Animism is the spiritual belief that all living things have a soul, and that everything in the world is alive. Everything around us—birds, trees, dogs, and rivers are all animated with sentient energy.
Did you know that in your soul's incarnations, you may not have only experienced being human? In regression healing sessions, we sometimes revisit a lifetime when we were non-human to learn lessons and understand ourselves and our behaviors. I have worked with people who have experienced being a tree, a rooster, various birds, and even a cheeky fairy. In each of these unique sessions, we always learn something profound about ourselves from a perspective we might never have expected.
I was recently reminded how powerful these types of regressions can be. Often in session, we are guided toward the most important soul experience for us to learn from, and sometimes these lessons come in the form of animism regressions. In this session, my client was seeking healing for issues of abandonment.
In her session, we found that she was a baby bird, only a few hours old, when she fell from the nest. For hours, this baby bird cried for its mother and then slowly died alone, lost and separated from her. In her current life, she had always felt abandoned by her mother and deeply separated.
When we explored the situation of the life as a baby bird, we zoomed out and discovered her bird mother had actually hunted desperately for her. The mother bird screamed and cried for her baby and was desperately worried.
When my client received this piece of information that she was indeed missed, very much wanted, and loved by her mother—she understood that she had never been abandoned. We were then able to release these issues of abandonment and replace them with deep motherly love.
How awesome is this? To gain such a profound understanding of why abandonment issues were showing up in this life! If we do not release any of these feelings at the moment of our death, they can be carried over into this life. We heal to learn and move beyond it. Was it a surprise that she was having a difficult relationship with her mother in this life? No! They needed to repeat the cycle until she could learn, understand, and forgive.
It was lovely to hear from my client a little while later. Her relationship with her mother had slowly moved forward. They were communicating better, and there was less animosity between them. And I know with time the relationship will grow deeper as the trust is restored.
